Office of Rights, Compliance and Accountability

Office of Rights, Compliance and Accountability

The focus of the Office of Rights, Compliance and Accountability is preserving individual rights, ensuring compliance with policy and law, and fostering accountability. Our overall goal is to provide a respectful, diverse and inclusive university environment. ORCA will serve as a single point of contact for matters involving Title IX, discrimination, student behavioral intervention, crisis management and our Student CARE Team.

ORCA staff investigate complaints of discrimination and sexual harassment and work with parties to find a resolution. If students or employees believe they are being treated differently because of their race, religion, color, national origin, citizenship, age, sex, physical or mental disability, status as a protected veteran, marital status, changes in marital status, pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions, parenthood, sexual orientation, gender identity, political affiliation or belief, genetic information or another legally protected status, they can lodge a complaint with ORCA. Complaints can be filed online, over the phone or in person by visiting the office.

The Office of Rights, Compliance and Accountability is located on the third floor of Constitution Hall at 1692 Tok Lane. For more information, call 907-474-7300 or visit the ORCA website.
