Students will identify their own individualized learning outcomes for their Interdisciplinary Studies A.A.S. degree program. They will create a digital portfolio, which includes a resume, cover letter, action plan and documentation of academic work that demonstrates how they met their individualized learning outcomes.
Prerequisites: Admission to INDS AAS program; sophomore standing.

INDS F301 Interdisciplinary Methods

Offered Fall and Spring
Explores the evolving field of interdisciplinary studies and its relevance to real-life problems. This course places a strong emphasis on cultivating critical thinking and advanced problem-solving skills as well as fostering effective communication and collaboration. Through class discussions, case studies and hands-on projects, students will learn to apply interdisciplinary skills.
Prerequisites: Admission to the interdisciplinary studies major or instructor permission; sophomore standing.

Students will also be expected to develop and research an action plan to reach their stated goals. These materials have practical applications and facilitate self-reflection on the learning outcomes of their interdisciplinary degree.
Prerequisites: Admittance to an interdisciplinary major; senior standing.
