An interdisciplinary minor cannot be titled the similarly to an existing UAF minor, and it must demonstrate a cohesive body of knowledge and skills. Your draft will includes your minor's title, courses to be included, and your individualized learning outcomes. It is especially important that interdisciplinary students can identify their own individualized learning outcomes, which are the knowledge and skills you expect develop through you minor's courses.

  3. The Approval Form is in Google Drive, and you should share it with your interdisciplinary advisor by clicking the "Share" button on the top right and entering their email address. When you feel your draft is ready to be reviewed, email your interdisciplinary studies advisor and copy the Undergraduate Interdisciplinary Studies department email address, uaf-interdisciplinary@alaska.edu, to request that your minor be reviewed.
  4. A committee appointed by the vice provost will review and approve the interdisciplinary studies minor.
