Minimum Requirements for Medical Coding Occupational Endorsement: 15 credits
Students must earn a C- or better in each course.
Upon completion of the Medical Coding O.E.C., students are prepared to sit for the following through the American Academy of Professional Coders:
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB)® certification
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC)® + Certified Professional Biller (CPB)® dual certifications
Upon completion of the Medical Coding O.E.C., students are prepared to sit for the following through the American Health Information Management Association:
- Certified Coding Associate
- Certified Coding Specialist
- Certified Coding Specialist- Physician-based

Roadmaps
Roadmaps are recommended semester-by-semester plans of study for programs and assume full-time enrollment unless otherwise noted.
- This roadmap should be used in conjunction with regular academic advising appointments. All students are encouraged to meet with their advisor or mentor each semester.
- Some courses and milestones must be completed in the semester listed to ensure timely graduation.
