UAVT F100 Aerospace Composite Fabrication and Repair

Covers the skills needed for the repair and fabrication of primary and secondary composite structures used in the aerospace industry in fixed-wing, rotor-wing, traditional and unmanned aircraft. Computer Aided Design (CAD) and rapid prototyping (3D printing) is explored for the fabrication of small parts and molds.

UAVT F107 Basic Drone Pilot

This course covers information for the safe and legal operation of small uncrewed aircraft under 14 CFR 107 and prepares students to take the FAA Remote Pilot Certificate test. The FAA 107 Certificate allows for private (non-commercial) drone operations to include flight operational checks after maintenance.

UAVT F150 Unmanned Aircraft Maintenance and Operation - Theory

Offered As Demand Warrants
A review of unmanned aircraft operational requirements, regulations and processes and how to apply them in preparation for operating actual aircraft. Includes basic inspections, maintenance and troubleshooting theory.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of UAVT F107 or FAA Remote Pilot Certificate.
Co-requisites: UAVT F155.

UAVT F155 Unmanned Aircraft Maintenance and Operation - Lab

Offered Spring
Students will perform real-world flight planning, perform preflight inspections, post-crash inspections and basic repairs and troubleshooting and operate small unmanned aircraft.
Prerequisites: UAVT F107 or FAA Remote Pilot Certificate.
Co-requisites: UAVT F150.
