Smoke and Tobacco-Free Campus

General Statement

Tobacco product use is prohibited in all buildings, grounds, trails, parking garages, parking lots (except personally owned vehicles not parked in parking garages), university-owned streets and sidewalks and spaces leased or owned by the university. The policy includes all of UAF’s campuses and applies to all employees, students, visitors, volunteers, contractors and vendors. For more information about the tobacco-free policy and resources for quitting, visit the Tobacco-Free Campus website.

P05.12.102. Smoke-Free/Tobacco-Free Campuses.

The university is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for its students, employees, and visitors, by prohibiting tobacco use and smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes and similar products, within its campuses and facilities. Implementation of this policy may be established in university regulation.
